No, it's not the latest dance craze started by librarians across the nation. It's a book-dispensing machine available at certain Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) stations and shopping centers that holds about 400 popular books available for free to holders of library cards from the Contra Costa County Library. BART riders and shoppers can check out three books at a time and return them to the Library-a-Go-Go machines. Click here for an article and pictures.
Think of all the other high-traffic areas the Library-a-Go-Go machines could pop up...bus stops, airports, DMVs, even public bathrooms--you could read while you go-go!
